這天終於把心一橫，將小白(iBook G4)的胃換了，牠終於可以鯨吞將所有檔案，放進肚子裡，但換來一個未解決的問題…

OS: Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.17-11-generic
Printer: HP Business Inkjet 1000

我的蘋果機外置火線硬盤裝上了 Ubuntu Linux 6.06

今天再看看，才發覺當日的日子很特別呢：在2006/06/06安裝烏班圖6.06，很巧合呢！

我的蘋果機外置火線硬盤裝上了Ubuntu Linux 6.06...



Tried:

Ubuntu 5.10 on PPC DVD -> falied

Tried:

Ubuntu 6.06 Mac (PowerPC) desktop CD, succeed to boot, failed to install...

falied in partitioning & formatting hard disk...

Ubuntu 6.06 Mac (PowerPC) alternate install CD, failed also at the partitioning & formatting hard disk...

So, seems it is something about the harddisk.

Then, format the HD in Mac to fat32 with all zero.

Starts again to install by alternate install CD -> YEAH!!

Dual boot fine!

Details will be written here, later with config.

PS: 20070707: Finally, I have removed the ubuntu in PPC mode; most troublesome is the
"mouse right click" in LINUX for iBook G4. Now, I have the ubuntu 6.10 installed in
my HP PC & also vmware under windowsXP.
